Very enjoyable trip. We really appreciated that our dinners were arranged by Jan. Two women travelling alone do not want to go out searching for a restaurant at night. When we did have free time it was nice to learn what different thing we could do from Jan and she helped us do it. Great trip - thanks to Jan and Hartley.
Hamilton, ON The tour being new was a success and hope it is kept. I do believe Jan and Hartley were a large part on making our trip as enjoyable as possible. They suggested things to do on our free time and drove us to a dinner theatre and picked up up after it was over so we didn't need a cab. Jan was always available with directions and many a smile. Hartley looked after a small suitcase of mine so it didn't get harmed. I appreciated it very much. A super combination of tour director and bus driver. Tillsonburg, ON |

I enjoyed every day of our trip. The three shows we took in were excellent and the restaurants were very good. The Appalachia Museum was great plus Dave and Larry found a few other side trips - Broadway on the Beach, took us to a mall, on the way down took us into Alexandria, real old town and in Kentucky on the way home to the Kentucky Horse Park.
Hensall, ON This is our third tour with Hanover, each one gets better. Keep up the good work. Dave and Larry are really professional people. We love them both! Orillia, ON |

He and June were congenial and caring and provided excellent entertainment during our 4 travelling days. I also attribute the comradery among all of us to the efforts of the Mercey's. This has been an enjoyable and informative tour. We have appreciated the skill, friendliness, professionalism and flexibility of our driver, Scott and our tour guide, Kathy. Our fellow travellers have been pleasant travelling companions and our smaller group size has been a bonus. Great weather was a welcome addition to our excellent Amish tour with Marsha. Marsha gave good background and historical information, helpful preparation, suggestions and options. Seemed to guide our driver well during our drive through the Amish countryside. The theatre presentations of "Daniel" and "Abraham & Sarah"were excellent! Our young grandson quite enjoyed his memorable new travelling experience.

This was a wonderful tour and I will always book with Hanover if they offer what I want. You people go out of your way to accommodate especially with pickups. You came all the way to Trenton for me on my Alaska trip as well in 2001 and drove me the extra 10 miles to my door.

This was my first trip with your company. I have been on 12 trips to Florida P.C.B. and this one was the best. The stop over's coming and going were great. The rest overnight made our trip much more restful in the mornings. All in all it was a super 3 month vacation and Joyce made us all welcome and we had fun every day and night. Great activities, lots to do and see. I'm doing it all again in Dec. 08. Looking forward to it.

My husband and I have just returned from our holiday that was organized with your company to New York City. We have nothing but praise for the organization and how well the holiday went. Our tour director, Les Griffiths was the best. He was so pleasant , congenial, and very accomodating. We had never been on a bus tour before and Mr. Griffiths made our first excursion a real fun time. I cannot say enough about how well prepared everything was. He had everything under control at all times. It was fantastic. Getting us to the front of the line at the Empire State Building was most impressive. I must add that Dave, our driver was a real pleasure as well. He was a wonderful man, so patient and tolerant and got us to every destination safely. He is an excellent driver. Kudos to both of these fantastic men.
I know that we have had our first holiday with Hanover, but I am sure that it won't be our last. Thanks again for a wonderful holiday. Lindsay, ON |

I was extremely pleased with the tour guide and drive. They both went out of their way to accommodate everyone. Jan pointed out points of interest and kept everything flowing during the entire trip. The Opry and other points of interest were most enjoyable. Both driver and tour guide deserve an A++.
This tour was a dream come true. All the activities were so well organized. Jan worked so hard to get us the best deals and best seats at all events. Hartley would drive extra miles just to accommodate everyone. Thank you both so much! This was a great trip and was made even better because of the team of Jan & Hartley. they went out of their way to accommodate the passengers and showed us more then we expected. |

Summer has gone so fast but my husband and I wanted to let Hanover know how much we enjoyed the Western Canada Splendour and especially our tour guide Verda Burbidge and driver Hartley McHarg. We can't say enough about them. They went out of their way to make our trip a wonderful experience - being friendly but still very professional, giving us free time to give us something extra. We hope to take another Hanover trip in the future and must admit we hope we get them again.

We wish to advise you how pleased we were with this holiday that you helped us arrange, and ask that this information be provided to those in your office that need to know. It is a trip we have been wishing and dreaming of doing for years, and It was everything we had hoped it would be and much more. We had absolutely no comprehension of the diversity, vastness and magnitude of the Yukon and Alaska. It has to be experienced firsthand to appreciate it as words cannot describe it enough, although we will make an attempt to do so. Unfortunately, the night we wrote our report to hand in to our Tour Director, we were very tired, and a 4:30 am wake-up was looming, for our flight back to Ontario, which unfortunately meant we did not give too much in the way of specifics.
We had both a fantastic Tour Director and Driver. Les Griffiths, was a most hospitable host - very friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable on the area, and was able to bring to our attention many things that we might have missed had we been touring independently. He had a wealth of resources to refer to when something unfamiliar turned up and his sharp eye was able to find us birds and animals we would not have spotted. He was also able to provide us with relevant historical information about the various sites we were at or passing by and there was ample time for photos, both from inside and outside the bus. Any problems or snags along the way were resolved satisfactorily and in short order. Contending with 42 different personalities, and the belongings and lodgings of same is not an easy task.
Our Driver, Gary Snow, was highly skilled, and also had a keen eye for spotting. He was congenial as well, which made a pleasant combination. His driving was oft times under adverse conditions, such as unexpected construction causing delays, pouring rain, and very bad roads, but he didn't let these things upset him in any way, which gave us the utmost confidence in him. He worked very hard to maintain his coach in a clean condition, both inside and out, which made it a pleasure to to be travelling in. Because the windows were always sparkling, we were able to enjoy the beautiful countryside we were passing through, and our pictures taken from inside the bus turned out very well.
All the accommodations we were in were more than satisfactory. There was nothing fancy, but they were clean, had comfortable beds (very unusual in most hotels!) and most of them had bathrooms with bathmats or no-slip strips in the tubs, which was very good, as it is so easy to slip getting into the shower in a bathroom that one is not familiar with. The fact that most of them had guest laundry facilities was also very handy. The breakfasts provided each morning were excellent and ample, as you could have as much or as little as you wished and they offered a choice of fruits, cold and sometimes hot cereals, the usual scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon etc., so we were able to head off on each day not having to be concerned with when the first stop would be. Having them included in the price meant that getting away after breakfast was less complicated and time consuming than if we all had to pay our bills prior to boarding the coach. We felt it was a great idea the way it was incorporated.
The absolute highlight of our trip to us, was our chartered cruise across Prince William Sound from Whittier to Valdez. What magnificent scenery it was, and it was there that we saw so many different types of birds, fish, and sea mammals and not to mention the Columbia Glacier. We had a very skilful skipper and with he, and his two sharp-eyed assistants keeping an eye out for items of interest, and because it was personalized and private, we saw far more than we would have on a larger ship or public ferry. We enjoyed the voyage very much, especially since there were only 12 of us left at this time. We were all able to have a "front row seat", and enjoy the experience to its fullest. We were able to view the wildlife from the bow or sides of the boat and it was an absolutely wonderful trip. We were also blessed with beautiful weather, as we were on most days.
Another highlight was the White Pass and Yukon Rail trip from Fraser to Skagway the day before our departure from Whitehorse. Because we had already learned so much about the early settlers and the development and history of the Yukon and Alaska in the previous ten days or so, the rail trip was the culmination of all we had heard and seen, and it was more significant and meant more to us at the end of the holiday than it would have at the start of it. To think what all those thousands of men (and women) lived through to get to the goldfields and to settle that part of the continent - it is almost unbelievable.
We felt that the ratio of free time and touring/sightseeing, was appropriate, as it gave everyone a chance to get their heads together, which was necessary, as we saw so much in such a short period of time and over such vast distances. The odd travelling day was long, due to those distances, but in order to see all that one would want to see, it was an evil necessity. Rest stops were frequent and some were very unique, such as Chicken, Alaska!
All in all, we would have to say that Hanover did a wonderful job on presenting that part of our country and Alaska to us and everything was very organized and went smoothly. With the expertise and hard work of both Les and Gary, and the co-operation and respect they showed each other as well as to us, the traveller, it was indeed a most exceptional trip, and one we will never forget. We will certainly be recommending it to our friends and associates.
I, will be attempting to get more business for Hanover in general, from this side of Ontario and will try to introduce my clients to not only "group motor coach touring" but to Hanover Holidays.

I have just returned from the New York trip with Les and Bob, and I must tell you I have never enjoyed a bus tour as much as this one. Everything was excellent - well arranged, smooth, -obviously run by someone who knows what he is doing, or at least not afraid to find out. Driving was very smooth, even in New York city- must have nerves of steel to drive that and stay as unfrazzled as he did. I also appreciate the fact that one was not subjected to blaring country music, (as happened on another line that I will not travel with again.)
Well chosen spots for meals, breaks, great hotels, lots to see and do on the tour. I cannot say enough.
Thank you for a wonderful trip. Looking forward to travelling with you again.

Gail's excellent people skills were shown in many ways from always being aware of how her elderly flock were doing, to trying to provide special activities and places that would please everyone. | "We have just returned from a tour of the Maritimes and we wanted to express our thanks to your company for the wonderful experience! This was a first time bus tour for us and we had some reservations about this type of travel. We were pleasantly surprised at the comfort, ease of movement in and out of hotels and restaurants etc. and the very professional and personal care that was shown by our driver Lyle and our tour guide Gladys. They are exceptional people and you are fortunate to have them in your employment. We will definitely travel with you again and we give you our highest recommendation. Thank you for the memories!" | "All hotels were quite good-absolutely no complaints. The food was excellent and service couldn’t have been better. Our luggage was always delivered quickly and all requests were eagerly filled (eg. mail, post cards, hotel pen, etc.). I had a fantastic trip!!! I need to come back again. The people were so friendly and welcoming. I learned so much that I didn’t already know. A great combination of free time, shopping at craft stores and side excursions. A truly wonderful experience! Thank you." Mississauga, ON |

The variety of shows was great. I enjoyed them all. Thanks for a wonderful trip and I look forward to many more with Hanover Holidays."

| "This tour more than met all our expectations. Each day was interesting and had special highlights; ie. canal tour, animals, birds, banana plantation, informative tram ride, volcanoes-both inactive and active, waterfalls, hanging bridges, hot springs, gardens, tour of San Jose (Capital Theater/a grand building) and the Gold Museum. Even the sightseeing on the bus between attractions was enjoyable."

| "We had a wonderful time on this tour. Larry and Lyle make a great team! They are friendly, courteous and went out of their way to make this tour most enjoyable, right down to Larry singing and playing his guitar! It doesn’t get better than that. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour at all—we had a super time and loved all the shows. No Complaints."
