Have you ever thought how much more enjoyable a tour of the British Isles would be if you didn’t have to change hotels every few days? Well now you have a choice that provides you with an incredible opportunity to tour around the British Isles while spending each night in the same bed. A Cruise aboard Princess Cruise Lines features this tremendous opportunity!

Our group will fly to London and enjoy a few days in the English Capital including a guided tour around the city, a visit to the Tower of London and a cruise on the River Thames. Then on the way to the Cruise docks we will see Windsor Castle also visit Bath and the famous Bath House built by the Romans before boarding the Crown Princes for a 12 day Cruise from Southampton.
Once on board settle in to your cabins as you first cross the English Channel to the Channel Island of Guernsey. Then cruising around the southwest tip of England you arrive in Ireland, at the port of Cork, the first of three visits to Ireland, which will also include Dublin and Belfast! Then it’s on to Scotland to visit the great city of Glasgow before sailing around the Northern tip of England and arriving into the Orkney Islands, which were once part of Norway, before returning to Scottish rule in the 15th Century. When in the port of Inverness you can take a day trip to visit Loch Ness and a chance to learn of the great legend of the Loch! Then you will sail into the port at historic Edinburgh, where you can spend an entire day just touring the famous Edinburgh Castle! Then the final port of call will be Normandy, France, where amongst the many day trips to choose from, you can book a tour of the great city of Paris! Go up the Eifel Tower or have your picture taken at the Champs d’Elysee!

Day 1 Overnight flight
Sit back and relax as your Hanover Holidays’ shuttle takes you to Pearson Airport, where you meet your Tour Director and board your overnight flight for London Heathrow!
Day 2 London, England
Upon arrival in London, we meet the local motor coach and drive into the city for an included Lunch. This afternoon a casual tour of the city viewing sights such as Buckingham Palace, St. James Park and Big Ben. After the tour we check into the Copthorne Tara Kensington for 3 nights. (L)
Day 3 London, England
A full Breakfast is included each morning at this hotel. Then we board the motor coach to the Tower of London for a guided tour. This is followed by a fabulous Thames River Cruise that departs from the Tower Pier and cruises under London Bridge, and past Shakespeare’s Globe Theater to the Pier at Westminster. From here you have a free afternoon with tour ideas available from your Tour Director. (B)
Day 4 Bath & Windsor, England
Today we journey out of London first to Bath, a city forever changed during the Roman occupation. Here we tour the Baths and Pump House that they built to take advantage of the natural hot springs that are found here. Later we continue on to Windsor, where we have a tour of Windsor Castle, one of the Royal Family’s Residences. Return to London for over night. (B)
Day 5 Southampton and the Regal Princess
A casual morning and time for a short stroll before we load the motor coach and travel south to the Port of Southampton. Here we board the Regal Princess and begin our 12 night cruise around the U.K. Settle into your selected cabin and relax before meeting the rest of our group for dinner. Your Tour Director will be travelling with you on board and providing assistance as required. Ship sets sail at 6:00 p.m. (B,D)
Day 6 Guernsey
As we awake this morning, we find ourselves in the Port of St. Peter on the island of Guernsey. Once a haven for pirates, the island’s mild climate and breathtaking scenery make your first port of call a great one! You could choose to tour the 13th Century Castle Cornet or stroll the German Occupation Museum along with many other choices. Tender required at this port of call. (B,L,D)
Day 7 Cork, Ireland
Ireland is such a beautiful country and the romance comes alive when we first set to port in Cork. Home to one of the highest concentrations of prehistoric monuments, this is a land of great folklore and mesmerizing stories. Choose to tour Blarney Castle, St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral or the House of Waterford Crystal. (B,L,D)
Day 8 Dublin, Ireland
A full day to enjoy the capital city of the Republic of Ireland! Here you will find a city that is easy to explore. If you love history a visit to either Dublin Castle or Glendalough, a monastery founded around the 6th century. You could also choose to view the Book of Kells at Trinity College or tour the Guinness Storehouse to learn about this famous brew! (B,L,D)
Day 9 Belfast, Northern Ireland
The capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast is a city that experienced a true renaissance after tensions eased following the signing of the Good Friday Agreement of 1998 by both Catholics and Protestants. Here you will find the amazing Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Titanic Memorial and the incredible Botanic Gardens which celebrates Belfast’s Victorian heritage. (B,L,D)
Day 10 Liverpool, England
We arrive in port today at 6:30 a.m. This industrial port grew to prominence as a result of trade with the Americas, and continued in the 60’s as the Beatles mounted the first wave of rock’n’roll’s British invasion. The city possesses cultural charms beyond the Beatles. Liverpool is home to two neoclassical buildings in Europe. At Port Sunlight, magnate William Lever built a model industrial village and created the Lady Lever Gallery, home to a collection of English paintings and furniture. We set sail at 8:45 p.m. (B,L,D)
Day 11 Glasgow, Scotland
The city of Glasgow is a great commercial center as well as the cultural capital of the Scottish Lowlands! Amazing architecture, great shopping and a host of museums and galleries will keep everyone busy while the Ship is in Port. Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Inveraray Castle or a day trip to Loch Lomond, are just some of the fabulous activities from which you can choose! (B,L,D)
Day 12 At Sea
Today the Ship cruises North past hundreds of islands as it follows the Scottish coast towards the North Atlantic. Relax on board and take advantage of some of the many on board facilities of this beautiful Ship. This is also a great opportunity to gather with your fellow Hanover Holidays’ travellers in one of the lounges and share your adventures from the first half of the cruise! (B,L,D)
Day 13 Inverness, Scotland
This cruise begins winding its way south again and today’s Port will be Invergordon, located a short distance from the city of Inverness. Here the most famous resident, the Loch Ness Monster, attracts thousands of visitors every year. Choose to take a boat cruise on Loch Ness, or tour Castle of Mey, residence of the late Queen Mother until 1996, or delve into history with a tour of Culloden Moor, where British Troops defeated Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Highland Clans in 1746. Day 14 Edinburgh, Scotland
Here we discover the cultural heart of Scotland as you stroll this important commercial and political center. In the center of the city you will find the Royal Mile and famous Edinburgh Castle, a must if you have never been here before. Other great sightseeing options include Glamis Castle, a royal residence since 1372 or a day trip out of the city to St. Andrews, the birthplace of the game of golf! Tender required. (B,L,D)
Day 15 At Sea
Continuing our Cruise southward, we enjoy a second day to relax with the many onboard facilities of this fabulous Ship. (B,L,D)
Day 16 Normandy, France
June 6, 1944, a date that lives in Infamy comes to mind as we arrive in the Port of Le Havre, on the eastern side of Normandy. From the location you can tour the Normandy region and visit any number of the D Day historical sites. You could also choose to travel into Paris and visit some of this amazing city’s great sites—The Eiffel Tower, Versailles Palace & Gardens or even the famous Champs Elysees. (B,L,D)
Day 17 Home
This morning we find ourselves returned to Southampton after having crossed the English Channel during the night. A waiting motor coach takes us through the English country-side to Heathrow where we board our return flight to Canada, holding on to many wonderful memories of Cruising the British Isles! (B)
