Day 1 Pittsburgh. PA
Departing this morning from our Ontario joining points, we cross into the United States and head south to Pittsburgh, PA for our first night.

Day 2 Lynchburg, VA
After a leisurely breakfast, we continue our travels thought the picturesque scenery of the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest to Lynchburg Virginia. Overnight in Lynchburg. (B)

Day 3 Myrtle Beach, SC
Today our sights are set on the Oceanside city of Myrtle Beach. In Bedford, we visit the National D-Day Memorial. Your guide will share stories and explain the importance of this international outdoor exhibit. Surrounded by the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains, this memorial makes for a solemn and respectful tribute for our fallen heroes. We continue to Myrtle Beach for a three-night stay. (B)

Day 4 Myrtle Beach, SC
Today is at your leisure to take advantage of the beautiful sand beach or make reservation for tee time at one of the many championship golf courses. This evening we gather as a group for dinner before an evening performance at Carolina Opry. (B,D)

Day 5 Myrtle Beach, SC
Rise and shine to the peaceful sound of the ocean. A local guide for a tour of Low Country and the Grand Strand. A visit to Pawley’s Island Hammock Shops allows you to watch as low country natives weave the famous hammocks. Lunch will be at Brookgreen Gardens with time to explore. (B,L)

Day 6 Charleston, SC
This morning experience a taste of the Old South on our visit to Boone Hall Plantation, known for its moss-draped 3/4-mile Avenue of Oaks and original slave cabins. It was also the setting for the films Gone with the Wind and North and South. Enjoy a special Gullah Luncheon in the back-lawn pavilion featuring southern style farm to table items highlighted by a private performance by a Gullah storyteller. Next, we make our way to old town Charleston where we hop aboard a horse drawn carriage for a narrated tour. Experience Charleston’s historic downtown district while learning about the history, architecture, flora and the people that make up the “Holy City”. There’s time after the tour to explore on your own before checking in to our hotel. (B,L)

Day 7 Savannah, GA
This morning we visit Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. Stroll through sections of the gardens, step back in time with a guided tour of the Drayton family home giving you a glimpse into plantation life in the 19th century. Enjoy a tram tour of the plantation's wetlands, lakes, forests, and marshes. Naturalist guides help you spot alligators, turtles, egrets, and herons in native habitats. Continue to Savannah for a three-night stay. (B)

Day 8 Savannah, GA
A local guide shows the sights of this historic city. This afternoon explore some of the beautiful public squares, take a horse drawn carriage ride and perhaps stroll along the historic Riverwalk. (B)

Day 9 Savannah, GA
After breakfast we travel south through an area known as the Golden Isles, to St. Simons Island.
St. Simons is known for its historic lighthouse, one of the nation's oldest continuously working beacons. See Christ Church, the 3rd oldest Episcopal Church in the nation with its magnificent stained-glass windows. Return to Savannah. (B)

Day 10 Asheville, NC
This morning we make our way to Asheville and a visit to Biltmore Estate. Located on over 8,000 acres, this 119-year-old mansion has an incredible family history. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the house, as well as the gardens and grounds. A visit to Antler Hill Village including a winery tour and tasting. (B)
Day 11 Middletown, OH
Today, we are off to Middletown for our final night. Time to freshen up before our farewell dinner. (B,D)

Day 12 Home
We begin our journey back to the border with a stop at the Duty Free before returning home. Thank you for letting us showcase a glimpse into the “Old South”! (B)
