Panama City Beach is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, in the northern “pan handle” of Florida. The city, which is a separate municipality from Panama City, is famous for “The World’s Most Beautiful Beaches”, due to the unique sugar-white soft sand.

Panama City Beach offers visitors great shopping, fabulous restaurants and a long list of other services, in addition to being a terrific place to get away from the Canadian Winter.
To better meet our customers demands and to be more cost efficient, we have decided to operate the coaches on an every other week basis. This means that we will only be offering the 17 or 31 day holidays, as people generally found the one week holiday to be too short. Also, all of the activities will now be planned on a two week rotation versus one, meaning that we can offer a little more variety! We are pleased to be offering 3 Resort Condominiums to choose from—The Grand Panama Resort, an incredible 4 star modern resort; Laketown Wharf Resort, a modern 4 star resort, with incredible amenities OR the Summit Resort, a more traditional Condominium, with a 3 star rating. Prices at the Summit Resort start at $1,499.00 for a 17 day holiday including motor coach transportation to and from Florida; one night of accommodation enroute; two weeks in a fully furnished one bedroom condo on the beach; and the services of on site Hanover Holidays staff and motor coach. The same package at the Grand Panama Resort start at $1,619.00 per person, and you can choose any length of stay up to 2 ½ months.
A lot of clients rebook these packages year after year, so you will want to make your reservation early!!

Using you site map, stroll through the streets of yesterday. Visit over 40 heritage buildings and come face-to-face with a variety of costumed historical interpreters, all eager to chat or demonstrate their roles in 19th century society. Horse-drawn wagon and boat rides are also available at no extra charge. We continue to Québec City for the night. (B)

Day 3 Chicoutimi, QC
This morning we travel through Jacques Cartier National Park into the fjord district to Chicoutimi. The name comes from the Montagnais “Shkoutimeou” which means “the end of the deep waters”. On arrival in Chicoutimi we visit La Pulperie de Chicoutimi, a facility that highlights the significant part this company played in the development of the city and the region at the beginning of the last century. After lunch we travel a short distance to La Baie and the Musée du Fjord. Winner of numerous awards for excellence, the Museum opens the door to the marine world of the Saguenay Fjord. It is also a laboratory, and a place of learning and wonder where the rich history and science of the area is explored. Quebec is well known for its unique variety of cheese. See this on a visit to the Fromagerie Boivin. We return to Chicoutimi for a two-night stay. (B)

Day 4 Chicoutimi, QC
Today we explore the amazing sights of the Saguenay fjords! The scenery is so awe-inspiring! In this beautiful region, nature used its colossal strength to create a magnificent fjord. Here we visit a unique museum dedicated not to a Prime Minister but to the gifts given to Jean Chrétien during his 10 years as Prime Minister.
This incredible collection highlights Canada's place in the world. As well, the items offer a portal into the arcane world of diplomatic gift-swapping. The $2.6 million facility includes over 700 pieces from dignitaries and heads of state, including a clock from the Queen and a wall hanging from Nelson Mandela, along with offerings from Canadians. We continue to Montréal for the night. A farewell dinner is included this evening. (B,D)

Nearby are the Lutheran Cathedral (1847) and the House of Parliament (1881) and monuments to Jón Sigurðsson (19th century Independence hero) and also a sculpture of Skúli Magnússon, the father of the town itself. We also drive by the harbour to observe fishing vessels of different sizes, whale hunters and whale watchers. Tonight, a group dinner (D)

Day 3 – Hellisheiðarvirkjun – Geysir – Gullfoss – Þingvellir
Following breakfast, our excursion includes many of the scenic natural wonders for which Iceland is renowned. We pass the geothermal power station Hellisheiðarvirkjun and learn how Icelanders use the geothermal energy to produce electricity and hot water for house heating. Next, see the hot springs at the Geysir geothermal area and look forward to meeting the chef of the Geysir restaurant. Taste freshly baked bread, which is cooked using the heat from the hot springs, with lcelandic butter, boiled eggs and herring, and a glass of Geysir schnapps, served at freezing point. Then, marvel at the mighty Gullfoss waterfall, perhaps the most beautiful in the country. Here the glacial river of Hvítá (white river) tumbles 32 meters (105 ft.) in a double cascade. On a sunny day a rainbow is very likely in the massive spray. By a scenic route we reach Þingvellir (Thingvellir) National Park (1930) and UNESCO World Heritage Site (2004). Thingvellir is a place of fascinating natural beauty, a spectacular geological vista, set on a vast plain flanked by large fissures, right by Iceland’s largest lake, Thingvallavatn. The Mid-Atlantic rift is clearly visible; a rift that is forming as Iceland is being pulled apart by tectonic forces. Here the North-American and the Eurasian continental plates drift apart by 19mm (¾”) a year and a rift valley is forming. Dinner as a group tonight. (B,D)

Day 4 – Hauganes - Akureyri
A real treat today! At Hauganes, embark on an unforgettable experience: watch whales in their natural habitat! Continue to Akureyri for your overnight stay. Breakfast, lunch and dinner as a group today. (B,L,D)

Day 5 – Akureyri – Goðafoss – Lake Mývatn – Dettisfoss - Borgarfiörður
During your orientation of the capital of northern lceland, hear about the city history after it was established as a trading center in 1602. Visit the BOTANICAL GARDEN, featuring specimens of almost all native lcelandic plants. Then, admire Goðafoss, known as the "Waterfall of the Gods." Enjoy a scenic drive to the lovely blue Lake Mývatn, teeming with bird life in one of lcelands prettiest areas, and known for geothermal activity and producing colored deposits. Before arriving in Borgarfiörður Eystri, take pictures of the most powerful waterfall in Europe, Dettifoss (road conditions permitting). You may even see puffins, known as the "clown of the sea". Group dinner this evening. (B,D)

Day 6 Borgarfiörður Eystri - Höfn
ln the morning, enjoy a walking tour and hear about life in the rural lcelandic countryside over the centuries. Follow the eastern coast, where the first lrish missionaries settled some 200 years ago, and arrive in Höfn. Enjoy a group dinner together. (B,D)

Day 7 – Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon – Vík - Skógafoss
Our highlight today is a stop at LakeJökulsárlón, where some of the most speclacular scenes of the James Bond movie Die Another Day were filmed. Watch how the largest glacier in Europe, Vatnajökull, flows into the lake, forming icebergs. We experience a 30-45 minute boat tour between icebergs. Vatnajökull is Europe’s largest glacier and covers about 8 % of Iceland and the average thickness of the ice is 400 meters (1300 feet). We continue on to the volcanic black sand beach of Reynisfjara. Here are interesting caves and impressive rock formations, including columnar basalt. In summer birds nest in the cliffs, including puffins and fulmars. From Reynisfjara you can enjoy stunning views of picturesque Dyrhólaey promontory, a 120m spur of rock and featuring natural arch, that stands in water deep enough to allow boats to pass through. Lastly, we will reach Skógafoss, one of Iceland‘s most beautiful waterfall. Breakfast and Dinner included today. (B,D)

Day 8 – Seljalandsfoss Waterfall
We reach Seljalandsfoss, a graceful ribbon-like waterfall, which drops from an overhanging lava cliff. It is possible to walk behind it, but do not expect to stay dry! Next, you learn about the Icelandic horse, its special qualities and history and visit a geothermal greenhouse called Friðheimar. We will get back to Reykjavík in the afternoon, where you will have some free time to explore the city by yourself or make your way to Iceland‘s famous Blue Lagoon. Join us tonight as we recall all the highlights and spectacular sightseeing at our farewell dinner. (B,D)
